A B O U T 

Gabriela Dimitrova is an architect and civil engineer. She runs her own architecture studio GDAT in Zurich and Berlin, is a member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects and is registered on the WTA list of energy consultants for historical monuments. Since 2019 she has been researching at the University of Liechtenstein in the field of renewable and reuse architecture. Her larger academic works include the thesis “The conflict between older and younger monuments in the case of Ernst Gisel's installation of an atrium in the former biology building at the University of Zurich. Criteria for deciding whether protection is worthy of protection” at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta), ETH Zurich and the dissertation “The reusable brick. Reconstruction and further development of forgotten alternatives.”, which will be completed 2024.
